THE Public School 13 continues to be strong! Our PTA plays a vital role in supporting this remarkable school by working hard to provide the “extras” that enrich our children and teacher’s educational experience. BEEcause when there is team work and collaboration, wonderful things can BEE achieved!

Dear THE Public School 13 Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year! To our returning families, we are so glad to have you back and to those joining us for the first time—a warm welcome to our community! We’re thrilled to have you with us, and we look forward to a year full of growth, learning, and memorable moments.

As always, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is dedicated to supporting our school’s mission and enhancing the educational experience for all students. With your help, we can fund enriching programs, school events, and resources that make a difference for our children and staff.

We are asking for a $20 donation per family to help us continue our important work throughout the year. Your generous contribution will go directly toward supporting:

  • Classroom supplies and enrichment programs
  • Special school events and activities
  • Teacher and staff appreciation initiatives
  • School-wide community-building efforts

If you are able to contribute, please send the donation and the tear off below back to school with your child. 

We also encourage you to get involved with the PTA—whether by volunteering for events, attending meetings, or simply offering your support. If you would like to be added to the parent volunteer list please add your information to the tear off below. Together, we can make this school year the best one yet!

Dear THE P.S.13 Families,

On Friday November 7, 2025 we will be having a pretzel sale. Students will be allowed to buy pretzels during their lunch periods. Pretzels will be $2 each and there will be a limit of 2 pretzels per student. All pretzels will be individually wrapped.

Dear 5th Grade Families,

We can hardly believe it, but your child’s final year of elementary school is already here—and we are thrilled to make it a memorable one!

As we begin planning for the many exciting activities and celebrations ahead, we’re looking to form a 5th Grade Committee of parent volunteers. This group will help organize and support a variety of events, including:

  • Decorating and handing out refreshments at the 5th Grade Dance

  • Organizing the 5th Grade Trip

  • Supporting Field Day activities

  • And more!

We’re hoping to have at least 2–3 parent volunteers from each 5th grade class to ensure we have a strong and well-rounded team.

If you're interested in being part of the 5th Grade Committee, please complete and return the tear-off slip below by November 21st.

We truly appreciate your time, energy, and continued support. Thank you for being an essential part of our school community. We look forward to working with you and making this a special and unforgettable year for our 5th graders!
